Before you visit the Taj Mahal

The proverb “patience is a virtue” is evident while considering the Taj Mahal. Get ready for an audience of hundreds or perhaps thousands of people. Indian men, women, and kids can come up to you and ask for pictures. The admittance wait may be rather long during the busiest times, but as long as you’re prepared psychologically, everything will be OK. For what comes ahead, the wait will be more than worthwhile.

Here we can see the things to be taken before you visit the Taj Mahal and the precautionary measures that should be taken before you visit there. Leave your belongings in the hotel at all times. Although the Taj has lockers, it’s best to keep as few possessions as possible on you to cut down on check-in time.

Really, all of the above should fit in one tiny bag:

  • Your Passport
  • Money
  • Medicine for emergency use
  • Water
  • Camera and Mobile phone

What to wear to the Taj Mahal?

Although there is no set dress code, courtesy is still expected. You must cover your knees, shoulders, and head in order to enter the mosque. Wear light clothing and use sunscreen because it gets hot in Agra and there isn’t much shade. Layers are also your friend because Agra gets really cold in the winter (Nov to Feb). To avoid the brunt of the heat, if you go with Intrepid, you’ll be dropped off there earlier in the day or later in the afternoon, and prefer the same day Taj Mahal tour by train.

Get there early to avoid the crowds and wait for a room to explore and take pictures (if possible). You may take a stunning photo of the Taj Mahal from the riverside behind it if you circle around to the right side of it (as you approach the east gate). (Always travel in groups and hire a rickshaw for a reasonable ride there and back.) And just concentrate on soaking up all the joy. Even brave leaders who visit the Taj Mahal on a regular basis (or more!) can’t help but be in awe of it.

Some Tips to take an extraordinary photo at the Taj Mahal

Everybody likes to take a picture of the facade of the Taj Mahal. You know the one with the massive marble mausoleum serving as the background while you sit on the bench. However, there are a ton of unique perspectives worth looking for if you’re feeling imaginative and want to shake things up.
